INTERNET ACCESS

In the digital era no academic library resource is self sufficient. The information needs of the members can be fulfilled only by connecting the academic library with other libraries through Internet. Hence providing internet access in the university library building deemed necessary. To achieve this task, this university library offers Internet access service to its members at no cost in the e-Library section on the first floor. In this section, 50 desktop computers connected with fiber optic broadband internet connectivity have been displayed for Internet Access usage. The university library has its own sub-LAN, which, in turn, is connected to the campus LAN. The library is a part of fiber optic based campus-LAN.
