ADMISSION
- A Bonafide category of students and staffs studying/working in the TNPES University shall be admitted in University Library as members. The bonafide categories are:
- Regular Undergraduate, Postgraduate Students, M.Phil & Ph.D Scholars Full Time / Part Time.
- Teaching and Non Teaching Staffs
- Teaching Assistants/Guest Lecturers(Temporary).
- The following members are allowed to access the library:
- Regular Undergraduate, Postgraduate Students, M.Phil & Ph.D Scholars Full Time / Part Time.
- Staff Teaching & Non Teaching Staff
- Teaching Assistants/Guest Lecturers(Temporary)
- DDE Students of TNPESU
- Retired Staff of TNPESU
- Affiliated College students and staff with valid ID Card
- Any other person with permission of the Librarian and Vice-Chancellor may access the Library.
- The right of admission shall be denied to a person in the opinion of the Librarian if he/she is
- Shabbily dressed
- of unsound mind
- intoxicated
- The Members are requested to bring their membership card whenever they visit the library.
- Staff at the security counter is authorised to check the membership card at the entrance of the library.
- All members are requested to put their barcode attendance compulsorily at Gate Entry in the barcode scanner kept at the Security Desk.
- Members are requested to deposit their belongings such as bags, umbrellas, files, personnel books and journals at the library security cum deposit counter and obtain the token without fail
- Only loose sheets, laptops, mobiles, tabs, and wallets will be allowed inside the library.
- Members should properly take back the deposited belongings the same day and should return the Token issued against their belongings.
- By mistake, if a member lost token he/she has to pay Rs.50 as fine in the circulation desk, submit the fine receipt to the security as a duplicate token, and receive the belongings deposited in the deposit counter.
- Security at the Gate entry is empowered to examine everything that passes into or out of the library.
- Before leaving the library, readers shall return to the assistant at the counter any book(s), journals, magazines, theses & dissertations which they have taken for consultation
- Members shall be responsible for any damage or injury done to the book(s) or any other property belonging to the Library and shall be required to replace such book(s) or other property damaged or torned, or pay the value there of; if one book of a set is injured, the whole set shall be replaced.
- Any infringement of the rules will render the privilege of admission to and of borrowing book(s) from the Library to forfeiture.
- Members may not write upon, damage or make any mark upon any book, periodicals, or theses belonging to the Library.
