CIRCULATION


Circulation service is an important service provided to all members at the Circulation Desk in the University Library. This service is provided in a friendly and courteous manner. In Circulation Desk the staff lends University library materials during all hours of library operation. Circulation Desk staff is available to answer questions and help you locate books and other materials in the University library.


ISSUE INFORMATION


RESOURCES FOR ISSUE:

The registered members are allowed to borrow all the text books shelved in stack section in ground floor on loan as per their entitlements.


RESOURCES FOR REFERENCE ONLY:

All those items shelved in Reference book section, Periodical Back Volume Section, and Theses & Dissertation Section, CDs, video cassettes and Special collections are meant for reference in Library only. Similarly, both loose issues of current periodicals and back volumes of periodicals are also not meant for loan. Any user wishing to have a copy of an article in a periodical or a reference book can make use of the Xerox facility available within the library.


REFERENCE ONLY RESOURCES ISSUE FOR MEMBERS

Reference books, periodicals, bound periodical back volumes and reports are issued only to following members:


Faculty and Equivalent Staff Members

  1. Two reference books or two bound volumes or one reference book and one bound volume of journal for three days.
  2. One loose issue of journal other than the latest against a prescribed form (for overnight borrowing) between 1700-1800 hrs which should be returned before 11.00 hrs. next day.

RESEARCH SCHOLARS

  • can borrow one reference book or one bound volume of journal for one day.
